Bio

Julianna Giannoutsou is Assistant Professor in the International Relations & Development Department, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Philanthropy and Civil Society, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of Philanthropia. She holds a PhD in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University-Purdue University and an MA in Management of Nonprofit Organizations from the University of Georgia. In 2013, she founded the first Institute for Philanthropy in the Baltic region, promoting research and teaching on giving and the alleviation of human suffering.
